History
Japan issued a 10 yen commemorative at Togakushi on 1 August 1963 for the first Asian Girl Guides camp. Hitoshi Otsuka designed a Guide in light-blue uniform giving the three-finger salute before a blue flag bearing the World Association trefoil. The Government Printing Bureau of the Ministry of Finance printed the stamp by photogravure in panes of twenty, perforated 13½; about 13.5 million were issued. Specimen stamps with the みほん (mihon) overprint also exist.
