History

Chad issued two postage stamps at Fort-Lamy on 17 October 1967 for the 12th World Scout Jamboree, held in Idaho, United States. Michel Monvoisin designed the set; So. Ge. Im. (Société de Gestion et d'Impression) in Clamart printed it in photogravure, comb perforated 12½ × 13, in panes of 25. Each stamp measures 40 × 28 mm. The issue was withdrawn from sale on 1 January 1969.

The 25 f shows a patrol of three Scouts in profile beside the 1967 World Jamboree Idaho badge — fleur-de-lis over mountains and pines, framed by a rope border — with a yellow trefoil over a blue Scout emblem at lower right. The 32 f shows a Scout in beret and neckerchief holding a staff with a small pennant, beside the same jamboree badge. Both are inscribed République du Tchad, Postes and Jamboree 1967; the margins carry M. Monvoisin and So. Ge. Im.

Both values also exist imperforate.
