History

Anguilla issued four commemoratives on 14 October 1968 for the thirty-fifth anniversary of Girl Guiding on the island (1933–1968). John Lister Ltd. designed the set; Alden & Mowbray of Oxford printed it by offset lithography in panes of twenty-five, without watermark. The horizontal 10 cents and 25 cents are comb perforated 13 × 13½; the upright 15 cents and 40 cents are comb perforated 13½ × 13.

The 10 cents shows the gold Girl Guide trefoil on a scroll dated 1933 and 1968, inscribed 35 YEARS OF GUIDING. The 15 cents places the trefoil among silhouettes of Guides in uniform hats, with ASSOCIATION and the anniversary years below. The 25 cents depicts the Girl Guide headquarters building at The Valley beside a panel with the trefoil and the dates 1933–1968. The 40 cents centres the association trefoil in an oval surrounded by eight circular proficiency badges.
