History

Ajman applied a silver UNICEF 25th Anniversary overprint, with the UNICEF emblem, to the Hokusai woodblock jamboree stamps on 28 July 1971. The six square designs remain Umezawa (20 dirhams), the Sazaido (30 dirhams), Climbing the Mountain (40 dirhams), Kajikazawa (60 dirhams), Sekiya-no-Sato (75 dirhams), and In the Mountains (3 riyals airmail), each still inscribed WORLD JAMBOREE 1971. They exist comb perforated 13½ and imperforate. A 10 riyal airmail souvenir sheet is inscribed MINOBU RIVER BY HOKUSAI, with the landscape continuing into the sheet margin, similarly overprinted, perforated and imperforate. Postal standing is unsettled.
