History
Thailand issued a single commemorative on 9 January 1978 for National Children’s Day. The stamp is landscape, 48 × 30 mm, lettered CHILDREN’S DAY 1978 and THAILAND, with ประเทศไทย and วันเด็กแห่งชาติ ๒๕๒๑ at the left and 75 ST. / ๗๕ สต. POSTAGE.
Prance Nimsamur designed it. The Government Printing Bureau, Tokyo, printed 6,000,000 copies by photogravure, comb perforated 13¼, in panes of 50, on paper watermarked with zigzag lines, upright.
A boy in a Scout cap with a fleur-de-lis and a girl in a blue skirt climb a tan slope, together holding a pole with the Thai flag against a blue sky.
