Series history
Iran issued an 8 rial commemorative at Tehran on 3 December 1967 for Boy Scouts Co-operation Week and the fifteenth anniversary of Iranian Scouting. The olive-brown and carmine design places an ornate Scout fleur-de-lis emblem at left beside a circular profile portrait of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi; the stamp is inscribed IRAN in Latin and Persian and shows the face value 8 R. The Parliament Printing Office printed the issue by lithography in panes of fifty on paper watermarked with a Persian inscription and the coat of arms in a circle, perforated 10½. The printing was 400,000.
