Series history
Ras al-Khaimah issued a commemorative on 20 February 1969 for EFIMEX, the international philatelic exhibition held in Mexico City in 1968. Format International Security Printers lithographed the stamp, comb perforated 11, without watermark, in sheetlets of four. The 40 dirham value is a stamp-on-stamp: it reproduces the 1960 Greek commemorative of a Scout in uniform before a classical statue, inscribed ΕΛΛΑΣ, beside the Olympic rings and the exhibition title INTERNATIONAL PHILATELIC EXHIBITION MEXICO 1968. The stamp is one value of a larger stamp-on-stamp set. Postal standing of the issue is not settled.
