Series history
Saint Christopher-Nevis-Anguilla issued a four-value International Women's Year set at Basseterre on 15 September 1975. Jennifer Toombs designed it. House of Questa printed it by offset lithography, 28 × 44 mm, comb perforated 14½, with a St Edward's Crown and CA multiple watermark.
The 2.50 dollar, the value of the set that bears a Guiding inscription, shows a portrait of Lady Annie Allen MBE, labelled teacher – Guider. She was a teacher and Chief Girl Guide in the islands. The stamp is inscribed ST CHRISTOPHER-NEVIS-ANGUILLA and International Women's Year 1975, with the IWY dove emblem.
The other three values of the set (Evangeline Booth, Sylvia Pankhurst and Marie Curie) have no Guiding or Scout inscription; they are kept as related material.
