Series history
Syria issued a 35-piastre commemorative on 15 August 1977 for the Al Baath Pioneer Organisation. The stamp is upright, inscribed SYRIAN ARAB REPUBLIC and AL BAATH PIONEER ORGANISATION, with 35 P and ٣٥ ق.
Four children in Pioneer uniform stand against green and yellow panels. One sounds a trumpet. A flag and the organisation’s red-and-white badge complete the design.
It was printed by offset lithography, comb perforated 12 × 12½, without watermark. The designer, printer, pane layout and quantity are not established.
