Series history

Sct. Georgs Gilderne i Danmark issued an annual Good Turn charity seal from 1968. The labels had no postal validity. They were sold through local guilds and Scout groups; the surplus supported Danish Scout work (with priority to disability sections), work among Greenlandic children, overseas youth work, humanitarian relief, and the national guild's other social purposes.

The 1978–79 label is upright, on a yellow-ochre ground, with no face value. It is lettered GOOD-TURN, 78 79 and Sct. Georgs Gilderne i Danmark. A red-and-white fleur-de-lis with two stars stands at upper left; a wood-cutting axe stands at the right.

Niels Johansen proposed a guild Christmas seal at 3. Silkeborg's 1965 Christmas guild hall, originally to fund work with disabled Scouts. After two years of formalities, including with the Ministry of Justice, the first national Good Turn seal appeared in 1968. 3. Sct. Georgs Gilde in Silkeborg produced and distributed the issue. The designer, printer and size are not established.
