Series history
In 1979 the People's Republic of Benin released the three-Scout African Jamboree design with a new face value of 50 francs. The stamp remains inscribed REPUBLIQUE POPULAIRE DU BENIN, POSTES and JAMBOREE AFRICAIN JOS, NIGERIA 1976, with the circular Scout fleur-de-lis, the signatures C. ANDREOTTO and DELRIEU, and three Scouts standing with their arms across one another's shoulders. Claude Andréotto designed the original; Delrieu, Paris, printed it in offset lithography, comb perforated 12½, 50 × 30 mm, without watermark. Sources give the year 1979 but no day of issue.
