History
The Philippines issued two commemorative stamps at Manila on 28 December 1973 for the golden jubilee of Philippine Scouting, 1923–1973. They were printed in offset lithography at the Bureau of Printing, in panes of 50, line perforated 12½, in a printing of 1,000,000 of each value. An imperforate printing of 75,000 sets was also released. Sources give no designer.
The 15 s is green and gold. A collage shows Scouts at construction work, planting a tree and in uniform, with a gold hexagonal jubilee badge at centre. It is lettered PILIPINAS, KAPATIRANG PAGLILINGKOD, GOLDEN JUBILEE OF PHILIPPINE SCOUTING, 1923, 1973, 15s and KOREO.
The 65 s is blue and gold. Two Scouts look at an open book lettered BOY SCOUTING, against hills, water and a palm frond, with a gold jubilee badge at lower right. It is lettered PILIPINAS, 65s, KOREO and GOLDEN JUBILEE OF PHILIPPINE SCOUTING 1923–1973.
