Notes
The World Scout emblem over a compass rose, REPUBLIK INDONESIA at the foot. Domfil 959.12 «Emblem».
Series history
Indonesia issued six semi-postals on 17 July 1959 for the X World Scout Jamboree, held that year at Mount Makiling in the Philippines — the first world jamboree in Asia. Domfil catalogues the set as 959.7/12.
Two designs alternate across the six values. Three carry the World Scout emblem above a camp pitched under palms, and three set the emblem against a compass rose; all are lettered REPUBLIK INDONESIA at the foot and printed in two colours, each value in its own shade over the same brown-red emblem. The surtax on every value went to the Indonesian Scout movement.
Catalogue references are Scott ID B115–B120, Michel ID 243–248 and Yvert ID 193–198. The six values are catalogued here in rising face-value order.
