Series history
Turkey marked the fiftieth anniversary of Turkish Scouting with three values issued at Istanbul on 22 July 1962. The stamps carry the red Turkish scout emblem — a fleur-de-lis with crescent and star — and the anniversary years 1912–1962. Designs show two scouts by a tent and campfire (30 kuruş), two scouts on the march with a patrol flag (60 kuruş), and a boy and girl scout giving the salute (105 kuruş).
Each value was printed in 700,000 copies, in sheets of 100. Designer Alaeddin Kiral; Klişecilik ve Matbaacılık A.Ş., Istanbul; lithography; perforated 13½. An imperforate printing of the 105 kuruş is also recorded.
