Notes
Innsbruck Winter Olympics overprint: Olympic rings, red Innsbruck shield, INNSBRUCK and 1964 on the jamboree airmail design
Series history
Dubai overprinted the five airmail values of its January 1964 Scout jamboree issue for the IX Winter Olympic Games at Innsbruck. The overprint adds the Olympic rings, a red Innsbruck shield and the inscriptions INNSBRUCK and 1964 on the underlying Tcheterian designs (human pyramid, bugle, march-past, march-past with bugle). The same five values — 20, 30, 40 and 70 naye paise and 1 Gulf rupee — also exist imperforate. Five imperforate souvenir sheets complete the issue, each a block of four of one overprinted airmail design. Sources give no printer.
