Series history
On 24 October 1965 Bulgaria issued six commemorative stamps for the twentieth anniversary of the Dimitrov Pioneer Organization «Septemvriyche». Every value carries the inscriptions ДИМИТРОВСКА ПИОНЕРСКА and ОРГАНИЗАЦИЯ „СЕПТЕМВРИЙЧЕ“, with НР БЪЛГАРИЯ on the lower values and N R BULGARIA on the 8 and 13 stotinki. Zdravka Taseva designed the set; it was printed by offset lithography, line perforated 10½, principally in the format 30 × 40 mm (the 13 stotinki is recorded as 30 × 41 mm).
The 1 stotinka shows three Pioneer children in neckerchiefs, one waving. The 2 stotinki shows an older Pioneer girl adjusting a younger girl's neckerchief — the admission into the organisation. The 3 stotinki shows a Pioneer boy sounding a bugle against pines and hills. The 5 stotinki shows a Pioneer boy with a model glider. The 8 stotinki shows two Pioneer girls singing. The 13 stotinki shows a boy running in sports kit. Print runs step down from 1,550,000 for the 1 stotinka to 150,000 for the 8 and 13 stotinki.
