Imperforate version of the 100 f design with Scouts on maps of the Americas and Africa.
Series history
Gabon issued two airmail stamps at Libreville on 1 August 1967 for the 12th World Scout Jamboree, held in Idaho, United States. Claude Haley designed and engraved the set; the French Stamp Printing Office in Paris printed it in recess, comb perforated 13. The issue was withdrawn from sale on 29 June 1968.
The 50 f shows the 1967 World Jamboree Idaho badge, a radiating sun, a green compass dial on a north–south axis, and the Big Dipper pointing north over curved blue bands. The 100 f shows a Scout on a map of the Americas waving toward another Scout with staff and pack on a map of Africa, with the same jamboree badge at upper right. Both stamps are inscribed République Gabonaise, Poste Aérienne and Jamboree 1967.
Both values also exist imperforate.
