Series history
Haiti released at Port-au-Prince on 21 August 1967 a six-value set for the 12th World Scout Jamboree held in Idaho, U.S.A. The issue is a local black overprint and surcharge on 1965 flower stamps printed by Helio Courvoisier S.A. in photogravure. The overprint combines a fleur-de-lis containing a palm (from the Haitian arms) with the legend 12e Jamboree Mondial 1967.
The face values after surcharge are 0,10+0,10 on 0,05 (semi-postal), 0,15+0,10 (semi-postal), 0,50 on 0,03 (ordinary postage), 0,50+0,10 (semi-postal), and two airmail semi-postals inscribed avion at 0,50+0,10 and 1,50+0,50. The botanical bases are Sambucus canadensis (elderberry) and Passiflora quadrangularis (passion flower). Perforation is Comb 11¾.
