Imperforate block with the 7 w design; bilingual jamboree heading
Series history
South Korea issued two commemoratives at Seoul on 10 August 1967 for the 3rd National Jamboree, together with matching imperforate souvenir sheets.
The 7 w, designed by Heni Han Chun, shows a Boy Scout in beret and yellow neckerchief beside the Boy Scouts of Korea fleur-de-lis with tiger motif (inscribed XLV B.S.K.) and a row of tents. The 20 w, designed by Chung Whan Oh, places the same emblem with a stylised bridge and tents. Both designs carry the date 1967. 8. 10.
The Government Printing Agency printed the issue by lithography. The stamps measure 33 × 29 mm, perforated comb 12½, in panes of fifty; print runs are given as 1,000,000 of the 7 w and 500,000 of the 20 w. Each souvenir sheet (90 × 60 mm) carries one imperforate stamp design under bilingual commemorative headings, with 80,000 of each sheet reported.
