Series history
Khor Fakkan released black overprints of the Sharjah 12th World Scout Jamboree set on 12 February 1968, the same day as the Sharjah issue. The overprint reads Khor Fakkan (spellings vary on the stamps) across the original Brüder Rosenbaum designs: scout salute among flags, salute among emblems, fleur-de-lis over mountains, a campfire kettle, and a flag parade with Baden-Powell. Ten values were produced, perforated 14, with the higher values inscribed for airmail; two souvenir sheets were issued with simulated perforations. The postal necessity of the issue is disputed.
