Series history
El Salvador issued two stamps on 25 July 1968 for the 7th Inter-American Scout Conference, held in July–August 1968. Instituto Oldenbourg printed the set by offset lithography, comb perforated 12. Each stamp is inscribed CORREOS DE EL SALVADOR CENTROAMERICA and VII CONFERENCIA SCOUT INTERAMERICANA JULIO-AGOSTO 1968, with the Scout motto SIEMPRE LISTO.
The 10 c airmail (40 × 30 mm) shows four Scouts hiking across grassland toward a conical volcano, with a blue panel at right bearing the Scout emblem, the word AEREO and the value. The 25 c commemorative (30 × 40 mm) shows three Scouts at community work — one pushing a wheelbarrow of bricks, another with a shovel, and a third standing beside a wall under construction — under the caption SIRVIENDO A LA COMUNIDAD.
