Series history
Fujairah issued airmail stamps on 2 June 1970 for the international stamp exhibition Philympia in London, inscribed EVENTS of 1970 PHILYMPIA-LONDON. The Scout-relevant value is a 4 riyals stamp-on-stamp reproducing a Cook Islands 30 cents of 1966: Lord Baden-Powell in uniform before palms and mountains, with the legend of the jamboree at Christchurch, 2–12 January 1966, and a Scout fleur-de-lis. The Fujeira frame is olive-green, with AIR MAIL, 4 RIYALS, the exhibition emblem, and FUJEIRA in English and Arabic. The stamp measures 51 × 38 mm and was printed by offset lithography, comb perforated 11; the same design was also issued without perforation. A square imperforate souvenir sheet of the 4 riyals, 98 × 98 mm, is recorded. Designer and printer are not established. Postal standing of the issue is not settled.
