Series history

Fujeira issued gold and silver foil airmail stamps and souvenir sheets on 1 July 1971 for the 13th World Scout Jamboree in Japan. The 10 riyal stamps show an embossed portrait of Robert Baden-Powell in a Scout hat, six green fleurs-de-lis, AIR MAIL and FUJEIRA; they are die-cut. The silver printing is inscribed WOLRD JAMBOREE 1971 JAPAN. Imperforate printings of both metals exist. Souvenir sheets place a 20 riyal stamp with simulated perforations on a green ground with a large white fleur-de-lis, cherry blossom and a Japanese inscription. A printer's mark Rohlemann Vienna appears on the silver stamp. Postal standing is unsettled.
