Scout and Guide emblem on a map of the islands, imperforate

Series history

French Polynesia issued a 28 franc commemorative at Papeete on 18 December 1971 for the 2nd Rally of French Boy Scouts and Girl Guides in Polynesia. P. Lambert Sampoux designed the Scout and Guide emblem on an island map. The French Stamp Printing Office printed it by photogravure, comb perforated 13 × 12½. It was withdrawn from sale on 18 December 1974.

An imperforate variety of the stamp exists.
