Series history
Ras al-Khaimah issued eight lithographed stamps on 1 February 1971 for the 13th World Scout Jamboree in Japan. The four postage values show a camp fire, flag hoisting, rowing and a Scout salute; the four airmails show climbing, semaphore signalling, German Scouts pitching a tent and a French Girl Guide directing traffic. Each design carries a national flag. Comb perforated 13. Imperforate stamps exist, as do deluxe sheets with a white or an olive-yellow margin. Two airmail souvenir sheets show Girl Guides and Scouts of several countries. Postal standing is unsettled.
