Series history
Sharjah issued sheetlets of six on 6 July 1971 showing uniformed Scouts of Arabian associations for the 13th World Scout Jamboree. Ordinary postage (grey panel lettered POSTAGE) covers Sharjah, Lebanon, the United Arab Republic, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia at 2 to 6 dirhams; matching airmails (gold panel lettered AIR MAIL) run 35 dirhams to 3 riyals. The same ten designs exist perforated 14 and imperforate. Two souvenir sheets with simulated perforations show Robert Baden-Powell among vignettes of the five Scouts. Brüder Rosenbaum of Vienna printed the issue in lithography. Postal standing is unsettled.
