Series history
The Philippines issued three 10 sentimo surcharges at Manila on 13 November 1972 for the 8th Asia-Pacific Scout Conference. The Government Printing Bureau applied a black overprint reading ASIA PACIFIC SCOUT CONFERENCE and NOV. 1972, barred the original 6 sentimo, and added 10s. One million copies were made on the 1963 Roxas credo — a blue recess portrait with the English line We want to see a world where people will have enough and none will have too little — and one million five hundred thousand on the 1965 Quirino credo — a dark green recess portrait with So live that you can look at every man straight in the eye. Both credo stamps had been printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson, comb perforated 14 × 13½. Five hundred thousand copies were made on the 1963 Bonifacio centenary, Andrés Bonifacio raising a bolo before the K.K.K. flag, printed by Courvoisier in photogravure, comb perforated 11¾.
