Series history
Ethiopia issued a 40 cent commemorative on 1 November 1973 for the opening of the Prince Makonnen Memorial Hospital. L. Peterlongo designed the stamp (signed L. PETERLONGO); Harrison & Sons printed it by photogravure, comb perforated 14¾. The print run was 100,000.
