Notes
Gold ring lettered 9TH ASIA-PACIFIC SCOUT CONFERENCE; a large red 9 with a red Scout fleur-de-lis (two white stars) in the loop. Inscribed SINGAPORE 10¢.
Series history
Singapore issued two commemorative stamps on 9 June 1974 for the 9th Asia-Pacific Scout Conference. William Lee designed the pair; Harrison & Sons printed it by lithography in panes of 100. One million two hundred thousand copies of the 10 cents and 500,000 of the 75 cents were printed.
Each stamp shows a gold ring lettered 9TH ASIA-PACIFIC SCOUT CONFERENCE beside a large 9 holding a Scout fleur-de-lis, inscribed SINGAPORE. The 10 cents has a red 9; the 75 cents has a purple 9.
