Series history

The Grenadines of Grenada issued seven commemoratives and a souvenir sheet at Carriacou on 22 August 1975 for the 14th World Scout Jamboree, Nordjamb 75, in Norway. They are inscribed GRENADA Grenadines and 14th WORLD JAMBOREE - NORWAY 1975, and each stamp carries the Nordjamb 75 mountain mark. Waddington Studios designed them; House of Questa printed them by offset lithography. The stamps measure 42 × 28 mm, are comb perforated 15, and were issued in panes of 50. Each design shows a diamond Scout badge over a tinted photograph: Scout Standard (tree), Boatman (crossed oars), Coxswain (ship's wheel), Interpreter (globes), Ambulance (cross), Chief Scout's Award (fleur-de-lis in a wreath), and Queen's Scout Award (crown).

The souvenir sheet, 106 × 80 mm, places a $1 stamp with the Venture Award (a letter V in a wreath) on a sepia landscape inscribed GRENADA Grenadines; the stamp is comb perforated 13½. A $1 cut-out of that stamp is known; it is kept as related material.
