Series history
Sweden issued two 90-öre coil stamps at Stockholm on 11 October 1975, on Stamp Day, after a printers' strike in England had delayed a planned June release. They honour Swedish Scouting. Each stamp is inscribed SVERIGE, 90 and SCOUTING, and is signed BJÖRN BERG. Harrison & Sons printed the issue in photogravure, about 31 × 24.5 mm, perforated 14¼ on the vertical sides, in coils of 100. There is no watermark. 18,432,000 of each design were printed.
One design shows Scouts canoeing and sailing, with a Girl Guide trefoil in the drawing. The other shows a camp: a Scout reading a map, others raising a pole tripod, a tent among pines, and a Scout fleur-de-lis. The two designs were also issued se-tenant.
