Series history
Hong Kong issued two commemoratives on 23 April 1976 for the diamond jubilee of the Girl Guides of Hong Kong, founded in 1916. Peter Ma designed them; Harrison & Sons printed them by offset lithography, 45 × 30 mm, comb perforated 14½, in panes of 50 as two panes of 25 with a gutter, on paper watermarked St. Edward's Crown and CA multiple, upright. Both are inscribed GIRL GUIDES DIAMOND JUBILEE 1916-1976, 香港 / HONG KONG and 女童軍鑽禧紀念, with the crown and EIIR cypher at lower left.
The 20 cents places a silver 60 beside a silver Girl Guide trefoil in a dark blue panel. The 1 dollar 30 cents places a pink 60 beside a diamond of pink and silver triangles and a white trefoil on a dark blue panel.
