Imperforate airmail sheet, 126 × 101 mm. Two stamps: a Scout with a flag at Campo Escuela Nacional El Coyotepe, 2 córdobas; Scouts at a night campfire, 3 córdobas. Each stamp has a World Scout emblem and a black square with the International Year of the Child badge. Margin: sunset over water with a rider and pack animal; NORDJAMB-75 badge; silver Year of the Child emblem; 14º CONGRESO MUNDIAL DE NIÑOS EXPLORADORES and 1980 AÑO DE LA ALFABETIZACION.

Series history

Nicaragua overprinted, in black and silver, the two 1975 Nordjamb 75 airmail souvenir sheets, released on 26 September 1980. Each sheet is lettered 1980 AÑO DE LA ALFABETIZACION and carries a silver International Year of the Child emblem; the original NORDJAMB-75 badge remains in the margin. Five thousand four hundred of each sheet were issued. G. L. Vasarhelyi designed the underlying sheets; Format International Security Printers printed them by offset lithography, 126 × 101 mm.

The perforated sheet holds two stamps: a Scout cooking at camp, 2 córdobas, and two Scouts in canoe 26, 3 córdobas. The margin shows Scouts by a tent before a lake and mountains, and is lettered DECIMOCUARTO CONGRESO MUNDIAL DE NIÑOS EXPLORADORES.

The second sheet is imperforate. Its stamps show a Scout with a flag at Campo Escuela Nacional El Coyotepe, 2 córdobas, and Scouts at a night campfire, 3 córdobas. The margin is a sunset over water with a rider and pack animal, lettered 14º CONGRESO MUNDIAL DE NIÑOS EXPLORADORES.
