Embora esta emissão tenha sido autorizada pela administração postal da Costa do Marfim, praticamente toda a emissão não foi vendida na Costa do Marfim, mas apenas distribuída pela agência filatélica da Costa do Marfim S.A. durante este ano para distribuição no mercado filatélico. Provavelmente, a principal razão pela qual o contrato dessas agências com este país teve vida tão curta é que, como se pode ver, em 2006 elas já não eram mais utilizadas (exceto 2 stamps) pela Costa do Marfim nunca mais.
