Notes
Two Scouts shaking hands beneath the Marathon jamboree emblem
Series history
Nigeria issued two triangular photogravure stamps at Lagos on 1 August 1963 for the 11th World Scout Jamboree at Marathon, Greece — the first triangular Scout stamps. Harrison & Sons printed both values in panes of sixty, perforated 14. Stephanos Apostolou designed the 3 pence: a Nigerian Scout and a Greek Scout shaking hands beneath the jamboree emblem. G. A. Okiki designed the 1 shilling: Scouts silhouetted around a camp-fire under the same emblem. A souvenir sheet places the two triangles together as a diamond under the heading «The 11th World Scout Jamboree».
