Series history
Ajman issued photogravure stamps on 27 July 1971 reproducing woodblock prints by Katsushika Hokusai for the 13th World Scout Jamboree. Six square designs, each inscribed WORLD JAMBOREE 1971 with a fleur-de-lis, show Umezawa (20 dirhams), the Sazaido (30 dirhams), Climbing the Mountain (40 dirhams), Kajikazawa (60 dirhams), Sekiya-no-Sato (75 dirhams), and In the Mountains (3 riyals airmail). The same designs exist comb perforated 13½, imperforate, and as souvenir sheets with simulated perforations in a fleur-de-lis margin. A 10 riyal airmail souvenir sheet is inscribed MINOBU RIVER BY HOKUSAI, with the landscape continuing into the sheet margin. Postal standing is unsettled.
