Souvenir sheet: two toco toucans in a panel lettered TOUCAN beside a Scout in campaign hat blowing a bugle. An angelfish among aquatic plants fills the margin. Inscribed FUJEIRA, 10 RLS AIR MAIL.
Series history
Fujeira issued six stamps and a 10 riyal airmail souvenir sheet on 24 July 1972 for the 65th anniversary of World Scouting, pairing a bird with a Scout scene. Each stamp is inscribed FUJEIRA. They were also issued in sheetlets of six, one of each value, and imperforate.
The 30 dirhams shows an ostrich (lettered L'AUTRUCHE) and a Scout starting a fire with a bow-drill. The 70 dirhams shows an emperor penguin (lettered MANCHOT IMPÉRIAL) and a Scout saluting. The 1 riyal shows a resplendent quetzal (the panel is lettered MACAREUX) and a Scout cooking over two pots. The 2 riyals airmail shows an Atlantic puffin (the panel is lettered QUETZAL) and Scouts with a signalling flag and binoculars. The 3 riyals airmail shows a scarlet macaw (lettered ARA ECARLATE) and a Scout bandaging another's forehead. The 4 riyals airmail shows a brown pelican (lettered PELICAN) and two Scouts washing a dog in a tub.
The souvenir sheet places two toco toucans beside a Scout blowing a bugle; an angelfish swims in the margin. Designer and printer are not established. Postal standing is unsettled.
