Series history

Iran issued a 2 rial commemorative at Tehran on 2 October 1976 for the 10th Asia-Pacific Scout Conference. The stamp is lettered 10th Asia Pacific scout Conference Tehran 1976, IRAN and 2R., with ۲ ریال پست ایران and a Persian heading that includes the year ۲۵۳۵. A twelve-petal yellow flower fills the field; at its centre a Scout fleur-de-lis stands over wavy water and a rising sun. A gold circular seal sits at upper left.

The Government Press printed it in offset lithography in panes of 100, line perforated 10½, on paper watermarked with a Persian inscription and the coat of arms in a circle, upright. One million five hundred thousand copies were printed. Validity ended on 1 April 1979. Sources give no designer.
